My Country

I’m a baby born in a place,
somewhere far far away.
All cultures combine together in me.
My Country isn’t like yours.
It's many, but it's one.
I speak the language for everyone to hear
I speak the language just for the people to disappear
I speak the language in a country unfamiliar
I am many, but I am one
I look around for my people, but,
It's only me.
All cultures combine together in me.
I am sand dunes, I am buildings.
I am mutton curry with naan
I am sausage sizzle.
Collision of cultures.
I am different,
I am unique.
This is my country.
