Jelena Dinic

Jelena Dinic arrived in Australia in 1993 during the collapse of Yugoslavia. She writes in Serbian and English. In the room with the she wolf, her first book of poems, was winner of the 2020 Adelaide Festival Premier’s Unpublished Manuscript Award and the Mary Gilmore Award for the best first book of poetry published in Australia in 2021. Jelena’s second poetry collection The Bridge was published in March 2026 by Wakefield Press.
